Princess Juliana International Airport (IATA code: SXM) is the main airport on the Dutch side of the island of Sint Maarten in the Caribbean. It is famous for the runway's extremely close proximity to Maho Beach, attracting many tourists and aviation enthusiasts. The airport handles about 1.8 million passengers annually and serves as an important hub for regional flights. It has a single runway 2,300 meters long and a modern terminal with numerous check-in and security counters. After severe damage caused by hurricanes in 2017, the airport has been undergoing reconstruction and modernization.
